Terror in the Haunted House

The "subliminal messages" were so stupid and served no purpose, other that to be a gimmick to sell a pretty bad horror movie

This was genuinely very bad. The gimmick of the "subliminal messages" (which was probably the most interesting part about it) was used in such a crappy way.

Absolutely awful attempt at horror made by nitwits who thought their "Psycho-rama" gimmick would cover for their failings in every other department. Not even bad in a fun way

The plot has everything, even an axe murderer, but the treatment is soporific.

Pretty old-hat, and the gimmick (Psycho-rama) was one of the lamer ones I've come across (note to producer: if we notice it, it ain't subliminal). But fairly fun--though I'm not sure I believed the resolution (and I think I lost track somewhere in there of who Sheila's dad was supposed to be). Still, has lots of laughs with the Jonah character--and contains one of the alltime great cheesy lines.

Mildy amusing in a few scenes, otherwise boring and stupid as hell. Feels like it's an hour longer than it is.
