Very strange and surreal film with a definite Lynch feel as you go through Jack's life and experiences. It feels a lot like Eraserhead without the disturbing scenes and afterward you wonder what you just watched.

Top badass moment? Young Jack blabbing a load of scientific mumbo jumbo at the front of the class. (Even I have no idea what it meant and I have an A Level D in physics.) I have to confess that I die a little each time a director shoots in B&W. This film so wants to be an arty sci-fi fantasy about time and the supernatural, but ends up about a guy with mental heath challenges. But wow, it was so artistic; I felt like I’d swallowed the entire Tate Modern. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.
