A fun, wonky programmer from the second stage of Disney studio history. Walt, as usual, gets the most for his money; watching this version is proof positive that no one who has managed the studio since Walt even remotely "gets it." DO NOT WATCH the colorized version, which drains the movie of its charm. McMurray really sells the character and forever dooms himself to playing likeable boobs in the process. As a light matinee this is hard to beat.

One of Walt Disney's most popular '60s comedies. Little more than a TV sitcom expanded to feature length but as such a lot of fun with good FX and a game cast of veteran character actors -- always the Disney comedy's greatest strength. By all means avoid the offensively ugly colorized version.

Fred MacMurray is fun as the professor that invents flying rubber (Flubber).

Excellent '60s Disney misguided wholesomeness and bad taste. Fred MacMurray is the absolutely perfect actor to portray the titular good-humored, disturbingly sociopathic scientist hero. I love like every actor in this goddamn film-- Nancy Olson, Keenan Wynn, Tommy Kirk, et al. Elliott Reid, especially, is fucking epic. Awesomely amoral and ludicrous trash cinema.

I so wished I could get some flubber. Sadly, I learned the hard way that flubber wasn't real. Thus, a little piece of my childhood died.

This is a good movie. It's cheesy throughout, but in that lovable '60s sort of way.

A well-made piece of Disney fluff with some very amusing scenes.

Loved this movie from the first time that I saw it when I was seven to now.

The goofy premise comes across as intolerably silly to modern eyes. I'd think a child would find the execution completely ridiculous and far too over-the-to. The basketball game scene in particular is hard to swallow.

It's pretty cute, at least when you're six or seven. It's a little creakier when you're older, like that never-ending basketball game, and shoes that only bounce when it's convenient for the plot. Still, it was meant for goofy fun, and it generally hits those marks. Favorite shot was the camera going up and down with the "bad guy" as he bounced.
