The Amityville Murders

By far the only movie to focus on the DeFeo family - especially by name, but also faithfully adapts what IS known of them, what IS suspected of them, and of course, the paranormal aspect, all combined for one very satisfying film. However, as most people will note - the CGI is bad...and it is. That being said, it's also the only movie to show Amityville how it looked in the '70s, as a black house, which contributed to how menacing it really was...so bad CGI, bad acting...but very good vision
