Mildly Interesting

It's okay, but I'm really not sure where this was supposed to be going.

I thought it was a pointless dud, until I realised I couldn't remember anything that woman said. I'm a bad person :(

Great snap shot of Lynch's sense of humor. Think of it as one of those long jokes without a real punchline...

I'm not sure how I feel about this short film. The whole thing consists of a woman drafting a letter to a friend and we get to hear her personal musings while she puts this letter together. The whole time a male nurse is redressing her bandages on her amputated legs. This lasts for three minutes and then it is over. Only one shot is used and it is in black and white. Lynch's wonderful sound effects are missing other than the nasty snipping sounds as he clips away her dressings. So yeah, ave

Trying to think about the whole unexisting film this scene is taken from is fun.

Like her leg's bleeding like fuck and she doesn't notice. How surreal man. I guess it's mildly interesting despite how retardedly pretentious it is.

Without doubt a minor work, but my feeling is that there is something genuinely eerie about this.

It surely generates some feelings and thoughts in a viewer.

In the second take, the leg gushing blood is played hilariously. Otherwise, whatever.

by having such banal dialogue read by a person with severe disfigurement, this somehow manages to be quite creepy, especially with the final words.

Not a pivotal part of Lynch's oeuvre, but kind of interesting in its own, twisted way.

Occasionally kind of gross and hard to watch. But then I suppose that's the point.

Uhm ...

Very mildly bizarre, but mostly boring.

It is my understanding that Lynch filmed this (twice) because he was asked to test two kinds of tape. In any case, it should be of interest only to die-hard fans and completists.

For some sick reason, I found this film extremely funny.
