The director, a French veteran of the Indochina war (La 317e Section), returned to follow a platoon of American soldiers for six weeks at the height of fighting in Vietnam in 1966. Interesting footage, but it doesn't achieve anything beyond Hearts and Minds, In the Year of the Pig, or any of the other docs.

Good footage is good footage, I guess, and it certainly does a good job of providing a slice of war that is not sensationalized. But that also makes it feel like it's missing a big aspect of the war and lacking the depth of other docs on the subject.
