This movie is better than it should have been. No idea who thought it would be a good idea to do an Angry Birds Movie in 2016, but it works for the most part. A few adult jokes and some bird puns dragged in down a bit for me, but I found myself laughing for a lot of it. Not a gut buster but it has charm and good voice acting. I thought the Eagle was hilarious. It's an amusing movie and a guilty pleasure for me I guess. Sue me!

One of the few redeeming qualities of this film was the use of puns. Other than that, I'm assuming it's some sort of weird allegory for Syrian refugees?

But, well, I tend to get a bit grumpy about "kiddie" movies that feature cartoon characters using adult-word puns as their main source of giggles--such as this pic's use of a fierce call-out for some "angry flocking birds," or the discouraged sigh, "Pluck my life!" Can't I at least cry fowl over that?

Funny animation and sounds - go in expecting terrible Dad-puns and it's hard not to have fun. Shockingly common-sensical given that it's The Current Year now, so it's like a breath of fresh air - light as a feather..

Angry Birds probably didn't need to be a movie - the source material doesn't lend itself particularly well to making one, and we're at least four years removed from the games being a big deal - but the film had potential. With carte blanche for the story, themes, characters, and jokes, the filmmakers could have made something truly wonderful. Instead, we got a moronic, pandering, cringe-inducing, and overall terrible movie that features nothing of value and feels like a waste of its potential.

Not offensively bad for an obvious cash-grab aimed at small kids, but should have gotten to the mildly enjoyable "birds flinging themselves at pigs" part much sooner, rather than spending so much time with the shitty and aimless popculture-referencing build-up.

Appallingly loud, garish, and fast - my nieces barely giggled at any of the "gags". It's the perfect poster boy for American Children's Cinema - moronic, brash, crude, male, with a bizarre anti-immigration message.

Aimless, formless, lacks any and all substance. Exactly what you'd expect from the world's first app-based movie, and add in some vaguely Trumpian, uncomfortable political subtext for good measure. At least the animation was mostly gorgeous, that's its one saving grace.

I don't like how much I enjoyed this movie. It was weirdly satisfying seeing what should have been a horrible movie turn into something I actually wouldn't mind seeing again. the voice actor choices were great and had they been anyone else, I don't know that it would have worked as well as it did. give it a try. its not terrible. better than those ice age movies

This is a kids' movie in every way, shape, and form. If you don't have kids and you're watching this, you probably need to have a conversation with yourself, because what the hell, man. My kids said they loved it. It has nothing of interest for adults. Maybe I'll stop rating these movies.

So many terrible puns! For all it's bad dialogue and meaningless side characters this is a surprisingly watchable film with a good lead character and a narrative arc that is pretty well done even if none of it transcends the "kids movie" trappings.

It's hard to hide the fact that Angry Birds has been repackaged way past the time when the game was a peak obsession. Still, there's no denying the movie's high spirits or its irresistible invitation to shake your sillies out.

From its conception, I could tell the Angry Birds movie was destined to something close to failiure. When I saw the awesome voice cast, I had a bit more hope (and the voices did deliver), but on the whole, the movie wasn't great. It's lazy storytelling with humor that for the most part doesn't work. There were some weird references, too. Not good in any sense, really.

A couple funny jokes but it's mostly shit and it's one of the ugliest animated movies I've seen. P.S. Only in Western nations could this movie be seen as a parable against immigration. If anything it's a story about people taking back what was stolen from them(Sorry to say but America and other western nations are the piggies here), but mostly it's just a shitty movie to take your shitty kids to. Maybe you'll think twice about having another kid if it means sitting through more of these films.

Passable kiddie fare is also a colourful enough diversion for less discerning adult audiences, but with such a well-stocked voice cast, it does ultimately feel like a benign waste of time and talent. Jumps through a considerable number of hoops to concoct a traditional 'quest' story from its simplistic video game origins.

Let's be real: Angry Birds is passable child fare. It looks pretty decent, and the voice acting is OK. However, it does lack a compelling story, and the shift between the second and third acts is way too sudden and alters the film's tone too much. The humor is also all over the map; it's really easy to tell that the film is just trying to keep the adults interested with some of the references it makes. On the whole, Angry Birds is inoffensive, but it's not worth watching for most of us.

It seems like every game, book and song has to be made into a cheesy filmed with talented actors uttering downright terribly scripted dialogue. Angry Birds was fun as a game but simply ridiculous as a film. Nothing redeeming about this one.

I moaned at groaned at the thought of watching this. Luckily, it ended up being just my style of slapstick comedy. It had me dying more than once. It's a lame story with stupid jokes and pointlessness by the truckload, but it has a great cast and enjoyable light-hearted animation. It's the best animated feature I've seen in some time, which isn't saying much but lands it slightly ahead of the pack.

My experience with this film as a whole was pretty good. I particularly like the type of humor in this film, which is sarcastic and passive aggressive, which actually really works for a lot of different people. So, at the end of the day, both kids and adults can enjoy different aspects of this film...but that being said, there's potentially a negative agenda in this film when it comes to immigration...pigs cross the borders, they're all bad, they take all the eggs, attack, etc.

Not as terrible as I thought it would be. A little clever at times but the characters are mostly uninteresting and the short runtime is padded with mediocre puns and slapstick that isn't really that funny. By all mean a passable children's flick but it really doesn't do anything that hasn't already been done much better by other, better franchises like, say... How to Train your Dragon, for example.

It's not so offensively bad as you could expect from a video game movie. I don't even think it is as bad a merch push as some other IP movies. But I guess it all comes down to what kind of humour tickles your fancy. When the Mighty Eagle took the piss, I howled like an injured sealion-coyote-hybrid. So. I guess I'll be to blame that I kinda liked this movie okay?
