This proto-Before Sunrise movie the makings for a good or at least decent movie. The acting plus directing are on par. It also benefits from an amazing score and beautiful captured Venetian scenery. But the protagonists are hard to identify with. Plus their constant bickering becomes repetitive quickly, so that their dialogues misses the natural realism of Before Sunrise and other better similar movies.
