The Apollo

Passable historic overview of the acts which gave the Apollo its reputation suffers from a relative lack of insight - it doesn't help that these lives and times have been broadly covered in a few concurrent documentaries (notably THE BLACK GODFATHER). Still the talent on display here makes it passably enjoyable, with enough pithy insights here and there to make things illuminating enough.
