Trying to find new meaning, he takes up with a free spirit (Faye Dunaway) who helps him realize how much he's given up to achieve success. Lots of pouting and brooding in "The Arrangement." Faye Dunaway's plays an interesting character, but she is opposite an overly despondent Kirk Douglas.

This movie is all over the place, I love Elia but I could never grasp the main character's goal, he was just lost, very very lost, a midlife crisis but where does he want to go? Nowhere, maybe that is the point, but it doesn't make a good film. On the bright side the design and acting was very interesting, also is very interesting that Elia included scenes from "America, America" like both stories where on the same universe.
