Campy 60's tale of mad scientists, reanimated corpses, espionage and murder. Nothing makes sense for about the first 40 minutes, but then the story actually coalesces into something decent by the end. This flick is OK, but there's tons of pointless time filling scenes of people driving, fiddling with random knobs, pouring chemicals into test tubes, etc. 99% of Carradine's dialog is gibberish.

Rogers (of "M*A*S*H" fame) co-produced and co-wrote this incredibly shoddy, but quite funny, no-budget wonder. An irrepressible blend of ludicrous plotting, inane dialogue, and fabulously bad performing, with standout contributions from Corey -- in his final role -- as an order-barking FBI chief and Satana and Campos as evil foreign agents of the Boris and Natasha school of espionage.

Not quite as entertaining as I thought it would be (excepting the final four minutes) but still wacky enough to be worth a viewing. Carradine makes for a dull Frankenstein figure (scenes of him explaining his science are nearly unbearable), but his assistant, a poor man's Igor, is oddly compelling (and the camera loves him, showing his reaction to Carradine time and time again). The best parts are when the Astro-Zombies are on screen - if only they'd gotten our two dull, sexist heroes.
