The scene where a cop stops in the middle of beating an unarmed, innocent man to hold a hand over his heart for the national anthem is such a perfect way to encapsulate the whole message in a single moment. Surprising similar to A Taxi Driver from a couple years later, with both tackling the same themes in the same time period and with Song Kang-ho even having the same character arc, but the films still feel different, and Song's performances are unique and distinctive
