"With The Aura, Fabián Bielinsky replaces Nine Queens' flashy Mamet-esque posturing with downbeat Melville/Antonioni noir existentialism." - Nick Schager

Unwavering direction and great acting makes it a compelling viewing, but the power in certain scenes vanish quickly, and the film feels devoid of significance in the end. Entertaining, but unaffecting.

ilgi çekici ve saf suç üzerine olabilecek hikayeye anlatıcılık problemleriyle yazık edilmiş. müzik kullanımındaki problemler ve anlamsız sahnelerle biçimsizleşen kurgu ne darin'e ne izleyiciye iyi geliyor. film gitikçe boğuluyor.

Masterfully crafted crime film. Well paced and with some very inspired passages.

The pacing is a little off, and Bielinsky doesn't (didn't, sadface) exactly have a masterful visual sense, but it's one of the most perfectly-plotted films I've seen in a while (seriously, every single detail pays off, it's incredibly satisfying if you're paying attention), and there's a beautifully sad, contemplative mood throughout. I went into this blind, not knowing that a) this was by the same guy who did Nine Queens and b) he's dead. Two surprises, one pleasant, one very much the opposite.

Wow... So sad that we've lost a talanted director like this so early.

13 Novembre 2012 - Els primers 20 minuts em semblava oberta i em mantenia l'interès. Després va anar caient irrecuperablement, pel guió. Les interpretacions bones, però les reaccions dels personatges irritants fins al punt que el conjunt de la pel·lícula és absurd.

Our Daily Free Stream: El aura (engl. subt.).

Atmospheric, low key thriller nicely underplayed by Darin, with a subdued if slightly unsatisfying ending.

With a better ending, this could have been something pretty special. The Aura gives a wonderfully tense, and dream-like atmosphere as its backdrop to an entertaining little crime film. Our protagonist is more than the loser the film sets up, but maybe not the mastermind he thinks he is. Darin delivers an understated, but very effective performance.

Starts off great: a taxidermist with photographic memory claims he could easily pull of a bank heist. Unfortunately, the way the film puts him in the position to do so is contrived and boring. The ending is pretty dull and uneventful as well. (The PSI was really off on this one.)
