Wow! One of the worst movies i've ever seen. Well, I somehow made it through about 35 minutes but couldn't take any more. Awful in every way!

🤣🤣🤣 Jesus Christ. What did I just watch?! | Giving it a 40 because it's bad enough to be a cult classic.

I'm giving this extra points for two reasons. The first is Alicia Silverstone, who as per usual in some of her worse movies gives way more than was necessary & is enjoyable to watch despite doing almost nothing. The second is the pure unintentional camp value. The entire thing takes itself so deadly serious despite the comical camera work, high school PSA plot & corny dialogue that it's impossible not to laugh at least once. Not good really, but it's watchable if taken for the dumb cheese it is.

Jennifer (Alicia Silverstone) is a lovely teen who has been hired to baby-sit the kids of Harry Tucker (J.T. Walsh) and his wife, Dolly (Lee Garlington). The Tuckers go to a party and proceed to get inebriated, with Mr. Tucker fantasizing about his beautiful baby sitter. Meanwhile, Jack (Jeremy London), her boyfriend, and Mark (Nicky Katt), another guy interested in her, decide to spy on Jennifer at the Tucker house, with each young man also fixated on her.

Not quite a skinemaxing of Coover's story, but goes to show how poorly such antirealist fiction, particularly concerning 'toxic masculinity', can come off in adaptation if the tone and style aren't exactly right. And everything here is all wrong. Grading up for first-film audacity and some primo J.T. Walsh face.
