Surprisingly good. And once again Michelle Williams outshines everyone else.

I'd really like to rate this higher: It has a fantastic concept, a great cast, michael showalter is generally awesome, and I liked the style of it too. The problem is, for a comedy, it's just not that funny. There was the occasional laugh, and I guess a decent amount of not-quite-laugh-but-kind-of-a-grins, but overall, it just wasn't as funny as I had hoped it would be, given everything else going for it.

Takes a nice spin on the romantic comedy genre.

It's funny because this movie is a by the numbers, cliché romantic comedy about not being a by the numbers, cliché romantic comedy. It's a good concept but it fails to be special because it's unwilling to take any risks or do anything with the concept besides a few lame jokes. Still enjoyable thanks to the actors.

One of the better romantic comedies I've seen in a long time. Most of the time I try to avoid the genre as much as possible, but I was bored so I watched it anyway. I must say i'm very pleased with this one. Good acting, good jokes, funny characters and - thank god - not too many corny, romantic scenes.

This was the same bunch that did Wet Hot American Summer? What happened? This comparatively straight-laced romantic comedy has some good moments, and the acting is excellent, but it's mostly too by-the-books to be particularly notable.

Tried to be an exaggeration, but it looks painfully believable to me.

It's alright. I like the idea of it more than the actual movie itself. It had funny moments, but really could have been funnier. There were some good actors and I appreciate it not being really cheesy, but it's not anything I'll probably ever watch again.

A movie that successfully tells a story and keeps it a bit realistic with more then enough comedy to drive the movie. If you're a fan of any of the cast from their previous comedy groups/movies you'll enjoy the movie. Excellent performances from the entire cast.

There were several scenes in this movie that had me laughing so hard that I was having trouble breathing. Anything that causes me to near asphyxiate is an automatic "fantastic" rating.

In a movie centered on the man left at the altar of other romantic comedies, the basic suspension of disbelief is paramount, spoiled here with the subtlety of a hammer by giving the doomed romance no redeeming qualities, while giving the titular Baxter all to safe of a safety net in Michelle Williams. Still its a good effort, charming and humble as romances go with the faint fingerprints of the Stella trio's comedic satire.

Good premise, kind of cute, some clever moments, but ultimately falls flat.

I can't help but feel disappointed to see something so generic come from the crew involved, but at the same time I know that they are the only reason this material worked.
