The Beach

Having since seen the rest of Bokanowski's available films, I can confirm unequivocally what I suspected after initially seeing this, namely that this is for me easily the pinnacle of Bokanowski's work to date; pure aesthetic rapture.

Aside from one, fortunately short, section, this is quite wonderful.

Conveys the uncanny aspects of the beach, but somehow not quite as compelling as Bokanowski's best works.
