The Bear's Tale

It thinks it's clever and funny but it's really not.

Another toon in which (a) two classic fairy tales get crossed over, and (b) where some characters are aware of how the story goes and even talk to the camera. Maybe this kind of thing was deucedly clever in 1940. Today it's a drag. One small point of interest: do I detect a note of lasciviousness in Papa Bear's tone when he talks about how he's going to find Goldilocks upstairs?

Pro: preferable to Jones' later Three Bears shorts (seriously, what's up with those?). Con: not the Red we know and love.
