Very frenetic and interesting opening sequence depicting the stock market crash, and a surprisingly good sound design for such an early talkie. Also everyone seems to be a better actor here, William Powell still carries the movie, but now he isn’t the only entraining thing, still, 17 minutes until he appears? What a crime. Overall a film not as bad as I expected, with multiple camera angles, some action and… flashlights? I didn’t know they existed at the time, lmao
