The Better 'Ole

Charlie's brother Syd Chaplin's biggest solo success. A feature length WWI slapstick comedy which was a pleasant viewing I've waited a long time to locate. Wasn't as funny as I'd hoped, but there were genuine laughs. The problem was that it felt like a stretched-out slapstick short where they did little to enhance the story, and instead went for aimless gags. As I said, it did bring laughs, but it wasn't nearly the experience another WWI Chaplin film was. That being Charlie's Shoulder Arms.
