The Big Empty

strange, hardly funny, but completely captivating and doesnt let you go. i've a soft spot for favreau and this movie only helps to solidify that.

Top badass moment? What I've done here. (Technical explanation: The film's called The Big Empty and I have essentially written a review with nothing in it, in other words it's a contentless review, e.g. it's empty. Except this explanation. So I guess technically it's not, strictly speaking, empty, just entirely lacking in anything that could be considered a review.) Bollocks, I give up. 1 Stihl chainsaw, no cats or decapitations.

Similar to Interstate 60, just more realistic and not so entertaining.

Captivating, even though the plot is strange and left somewhat unresolved at the end. Action is slow but very funny at times.

A quirky science fiction flick that brings together a megalocephalic Hollywood movie star looking for answers about his hum-drum life, fantastical aliens from outerspace with a penchant for the number 11 and a particular shade of blue eerily similar to the skin color of the overlord John Travolta played in Battlefield Earth, and a hotel clerk named Elron...Elron...El ron...L Ron... Oh...

Lots of points subtracted for stupid plot. Good cast and the good acting, but the story is vacuous like the name. Empty of almost everything but especially in plausibility.
