The Big Steal

Mildly entertaining, but weak in most aspects. I normally like Ben Mendelsohn, but he wasn't really suited for the role; it needed a bit more enthusiasm. The story isn't that interesting either, it's mostly about Danny wanting a Jaguar and then him wanting to get his Jaguar fixed and it's just all about this damn car. I think it really needed to be made for an older audience. The soundtrack was great, though any soundtrack including Mental as Anything and Boom Crash Opera is bound to be.

I likely rate this film higher than others due to its sentimental value; it was my late father's favourite film. It's so very Melbourne and so very 90s, in the best possible way.
