The Black Stallion

Surprisingly touching film. The gentle pacing sets up an engaging atmosphere.

I much preferred the first hour of the movie (which was very similar to Cast Away with the horse playing the Wilson role) to the second half, but a solid movie overall and a good lead performance from the kid.

Certain moments left quite an impression on this child's mind when viewed at the cinema at time of release. Perhaps deserves a higher score.

Great film.
