I knew this wasn't gonna be good but h-o-l-y shit. After a while, you just can't help but laugh at the avalanche of incompetence that formed this crater of meatball cinema.

Remember when you ran into that guy who was really cool in high school, but it's like ten years later and he hasn't really grown up at all, so you realize that what was cool ten years ago is glaringly uncool now? The sad part is he still has the potential to be cool, but he just can't let go of old antics, older catchphrases, and even older presumptions of what an audience wants from him. Just to clarify this is about Troy Duffy, not M. Night Shyamalan.

So this is a classic example of how they ruin a good movie by putting out crap sequels like this. Was the comic relief really necessary, I just wanted to punch that mexican guy in the face. I was excited to hear a sequel was in the making but really? this was so piss poor i would be ashamed to call it the sequel.

Crap. Everything that was unique and entertaining in the first rough gem of a film is turned into a slap-sticking turd in this one. The jokes present in almost every single scene fall flat whereas the action remains laughable througout. If the Saints were real, the director would find himself the proud owner of a pair of shiny new pennies. Avoid.

There's a slow mo scene in the first 10 minutes with the McManus brothers showering naked with their back tattoos glistening under water. There's also "genius" lines such as "You've got a nice ass for a fat man" and other bits of that caliber. There's also flashbacks and dream sequences set to hard rock which don't add to the story... and a mumbling incoherent Peter Fonda. This is the derivative shit you'd expect from a hack like Duffy. The final 10 minutes was decent but garbage overall.

Awful new characters, less than stellar performances by the returning cast and a lack of screen time for the MacManus brothers. The rawness of the original has been retread into the ground and replaced with a bogglingly high amount of hate speech, lame action and a ridiculous plot. It had a nice ending... I guess.

A copycat murder brings vigilante killers The Saints out of retirement to clean up Boston's streets again. This is a buddy comedy with tons of cheesy one liners and gun porn. All the religion and mafia bollocks surrounding it is just window dressing for the jokes and ludicrous slow motion gunplay. Not terrible, and Julie Benz looks way better in a skirt than Willem Dafoe.

As a fan of the first, I found this terribly disappointing ( and I was not alone). Gone is the charm and rawness of the first.

Just more of the same. All Saints Day is a product of poor writing, a misplaced soundtrack, and subpar performances. Duffy simply replaced crazy long-haired Italian guy with a crazy long-haired Mexican guy, and replaced crazy cop guy with crazy cop woman. It has its moments, but they are few and far between.

A mixture of comedy and action that pretty much succeeds on both counts even though it isn't anything to write home about. One quotable line may make it into our everyday lexicon, "This ain't rocket surgery!"

Sadly very disappointing. Too much recycling of jokes and plots from the original, with none of the spark or pizazz that made it what it was. Strong third act, if only the first two held up as well.

Though it made a good go at it, this film certainly doesn't live up to the hype of the original movie. It seemed to want to try the same thing, but it doesn't work nearly as well without Willem Dafoe. The movie is entertaining, though.

Every character in this is on one of two poles: completely awesome and cool or a bumbling idiot, there is no gray area. Even though I never thought the first was great I had to admit it did have a fair share of great moments. This, however, merely has a handful of OK jokes. It's quite cute that Duffy portrays the Saints as these massive celebrities almost like he thinks his movie made an incredible smash with movie fans. You'll appreciate this a lot more if you've seen the documentary Overnight.

Total shit storm that I expected but hoped it wouldn't be, after having seen Overnight I kinda knew Troy would fuck up and he did so beautifully. Saints II is pretty much a cheese-fest harping on old gimmicks that made Saints 1 so great and coating all that with loose ends and a poor script. Luckily the Saints boys can act the shit outta anything. But goddamn all these incessant sequels, prequels, and remakes. Almost makes me not want to revisit Saints 1.. almost

Watching this movie caused such a chain-reaction of stupidity and embarrassment that it resulted in a collapse of the space-time continuum, sending a shockwave of Terrible Ideas to travel backwards in time, putting the idea "Hey, why don't we have another kid?" into my dads head more than 31 years ago. So, what I'm trying to say is; fuck you, Boondock Saints 2.

I expected a lot from Troy Duffy, especially after the first part. I was expecting to be disappointed at the same time. This movie was very disappointing at the end. The movie was just created for the fan base, but disappointing the fans at the same time. This movie attempts to be funny but it fails at that too. Overall many of the fans of the first Boondock Saints will be disappointed.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is, more so than anything else, a cash-in film. The first Boondock Saints made a lot of money with home media, and therefore, we got a second one. It feels rushed, going against everything that the first film stood for, while also going to prove that the first film's problems came from its writer and director, not from anywhere else. This is another poor action film, only this time, there is less action, making it even worse than the original.

This was almost one of the worst sequels of unoriginality of all time. They practically copied the first movie verbatim but made it cheesier and shittier. And what the fuck was up with that Tapout douche-bag soundtrack. Fuck you Troy Duffy.

More laughable violence accompanied by hackneyed one liners and a super-thin plot. This film is so ludicrous that it becomes a comedy when it is not supposed to be. Julie Benz cannot live up to the job done by Willem Dafoe in the first film and creates a more one-dimensional, unemotional (but smokin' hot) FBI agent helping the "good" criminals than I ever thought possible in the first film. Still, Clifton Collins Jr has a good turn as Romeo, and adds some necessary spunk to the dialog.

Of course it doesn't quite live up to its predecessor but it certainly doesn't dissappoint. It brings the same action and humor you would expect, and there is never a dull moment. The only thing the movie truly was missing was Rocco who was replaced by some Mexican who delivers a few laughs but nothing like the comic center that Rocco was. His cameo is one of the best parts of the film.

holds up fairly well to the original with only a bit of sub-par writing--the acting, story, and direction are, however, excellent. i was actually quite impressed on how well this was handled, it can definitely satisfy the cult following of the original in search of more vigilante justice.

Not good, but not nearly as bad as you've heard. Actually, I'd put both BS films (ha!) at the same quality level. The most major difference is this one seemed to feel like, at any moment, it might fall drunkenly into self-parody. Between the constant anal-rape, Godfather 2 and Three Stooges references, I was anticipating a Mel Brooks song-and-dance somewhere - and would have appreciated it.

Man, this could have been a fun, good movie, but it missed the mark on several occasions......the one thins that just effed up this movie for me beyond all other issues, however, was Julie Benz's terrible, and I mean downright atrocious, Southern accent. If they make a 3, it better be awesome.

a "quick" cash-in and nothing like the prequel. julie benz' attempt to "be what dafoe was" is so incredibly lame and awkwardly acted, it made me feel embarrassed for her through the entire movie. the "story" is one incoherent motherfucker and full of "WTF?"-moments, everything about this feels shallow and blown out of proportion. they even paid dafoe to have a guest appereance, so that anyone could at least get a feeling that it's related to Boondock Saints. loads of bullcrapé, pardon my french.

Yeah, the Boondocks concept does not really lend itself well to non-gritty, character-driven cinema. Plus, it seems pandering at times too. All Saints Day is a sad mix of beautiful shots and brilliant action sequences and tacky pseudo-deep storylines and bumbling, unfitting characters. Not at all as coherent and straight-forward as the first one; something that really helped the first movie. As much as I liked seeing Dafoe again too, the last shot was just insulting. Poor sequel, sadly.

In some ways it was like a cheap knock-off of the original with a corny plot and worse action. Then again, the original was great and even a knock off is pretty good! Plus it had some good new stuff, the side kick was more fun though less meaningful. And on that not the plot had an attempt at grandeur that only made it weaker where the original was about two brothers killing bad guys. Simple. All in all though, good film, glad I watched it, just wished it was as ground breaking as original.

After I watched the first one I really thought it was going to be a stand alone epic movie. Then they announced a sequel which I thought twice about I will admit that. Now having seen both films in comparison this can and will stand as a good two part series. Connor, Murphy and their father return for another round against crine, and although it may be lacking the originality factor of the first one, true fans can embrace another go around with these characters and appreciate this film.

In spite of begrudgingly admitting that I enjoyed the original, I can't even pretend that I enjoyed All Saints Day. It badly misses both Dafoe's overacting and the tone of a director striving to make something that is "badass." This is probably what most people thought of the original.

I don't belong to the cult fan base of the first film, but I thought it was entertaining in its silly macho worldview as long as the viewer didn't take it too seriously. This one goes overboard in idolizing ruthless vigilantism and worshiping guns. But that isn't really its biggest problem. The problem is the adolescent dialogue, the irritating slapstick humor, the obsession with gay/dick/ball/poop jokes, and the utterly incoherent tone ("wacky" characters suddenly treated with reverence, etc.)
