Near the end the brother goes "boss baby what are you going to do when you leave, how will parents handle it " and Boss Baby goes "we have a procedure for that" and SIDS was finally solved. Insane movie.

Much better than I expected, with some genuinely funny and imaginative moments. The plot is utterly predictable (of course), but the zippy dialogue and appealing characters help keep things lively.

Less insipid than I anticipated from the premise and the trailer. I'm heroically stubborn about what I watch with my kid, always seeking some tolerability in our shared viewing, but I couldn't get around his whining insistence for Boss Baby and well, I didn't hate it and Baldwin was great.

Dreamworks Animation has finally made a film even weirder than Bee Movie, and it's one of the year's most disturbing films.

Cute, amusing premise works very well for the first act, before becoming too fanciful and unbelievable (even within the confines of kids animation) and tiresomely padded with chase scenes. Baldwin is ideally cast, and a sly wink back to GLENGARRY is belly-laugh worthy, but this would have been a terrific short subject utilising the material and arcs in the first half.

It was cute, but, um, why in the world did the baby get dropped off in a taxi, all by himself? And why didn't the parents think this was weird? And don't say it was the kid's imagination - the world got all weird when he did that shit.

All the best animated films aimed at children often attempt to tap into the relatable simplicity of childhood and the imagination-fuelled worlds that kids so often create, and "The Boss Baby" does just that, as funny as the usual Pixar fare and then some, if not quite as emotional (though it does have its moments). That's not to say its groundbreaking or revolutionary or anything other than enjoyably light, entertaining, and fun, but what is there is worth it. A romp for adults and kids alike.

I'll give it points for being creative, some of the animation is quite interesting to watch, and the opening scene was pretty funny to me. This film isn't what I expected, as I was expecting something really generic and unfunny. The movie has its moments, and it's weird to see something a little different than the norm when it comes to these kind of movies, it's just really boring during the middle of it and it's way too ridiculous. Probably not something you should own as a adult.

Clever response to Inside Out. Dreamworks delivers an interesting depiction of a child dealing with emotional challenges and changes in the family dynamic through imagination. Not without frequent DW criticism (shoehorned dancing, reference after reference, generic revenge story, etc), but better than expected- admittedly, not a high bar. Love the 2D-style animation sequences.

The Boss Baby is much better than I expected. It does have some adult humor and a relatively good cast, but its story really lacks. The writing, themes, and Alec Baldwin are the three things that make this not a complete waste of time.

It started out fairly well with me growing to assume that the whole plot was a metaphor for the kid's imagination. However, I soon learned I was mistaken - I've seen too many Pixar films.

If cookies are for closers, The Boss Baby not only doesn't deserve a cookie, but it owes each member of the audience multiple cookies for making us sit through its unfunny, pointless, annoying, and boring nonsense, all while being a blandly animated movie. It has all the drama of a Bellas feud and all the laughs of a baby waking you up at 3 AM. Most kids deserve better than this and adults most certainly do. It's a potentially interesting premise wasted - a 90-minute bee sting to the tongue.

Maybe I'm just old, but this didn't do it for me. The other thing is that if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the film. The Film itself doesn't actually add much more. I am a fan of Alec Baldwin and Steve Buscemi, who were good with their voice roles here. In the end, it is too child-oriented and there aren't enough jokes in there for the adults to keep this interesting.

The Boss Baby had a great voice cast but the overall plot of the movie was pretty boring. I did have a few laughs but unlike other modern kids movies there wasn't really much in this movie for me. The moral of the whole story was good but it jumped around a lot without much reason. I would not recommend this movie to parent or child.

The Boss Baby takes a Pixar-esque concept of newborn sibling rivalry expressed through a child's imagination, toys with it for about 15 minutes and then throws it out to create a film that is half-baked and preposterous, but somehow still endearing. The plot seems to be constructed around something the Pope once said, but I did chuckle a few times. Mixed bag.

This movie made me question my sanity, I don't think I have any sanity after watching this, it's humor is terribly horrible for everyone, the casting is weird, and I can't tell between what is imagined stuff or things that are actually going on, the is a dumpster fire of a script, please don't watch it, please

While living in Xiamen I had a (first) date with a girl who wanted to come over and watch a movie after we had lunch and ice cream. This was that movie. At the beginning of the 3rd act, she climbed on top of me and thus began the best sex I've had up to that point in my life. While I don't remember much of the film as I was distracted through most of it, I remember not caring too much. I miss you, Zoe, even if you stole some 13,000 RMB from me. You were still super hot.

Fortunately, there's more here than meets the movie trailer's eye. Scenes where we delve into older brother Tim's limitless imagination are creative and fun. There are plenty of baby idiosyncrasies and mannerisms to giggle over. And The Boss Baby's eventual affirmation of sibling bonding and familial love makes all its toddler toilet humor a bit more bearable.

Honestly when it stuck to the metaphor, it was great, starting off in a way that was very promising - but as soon as they abandoned it and took it literally, it fell apart terribly.

Really just .. not very good. Feels like it was produced half by committee and half by focus group marketing. Plot was a bit over the place, animation is very average, and I've already forgotten the songs. Also some very dubious implications bandied about.

Ok movie of having a wonderful life and thinking a big interruption has spoiled it, only to find that through hard learning, it improves it. Formulaic story that the children would quite enjoy, and only the parts of comedy about baby raising for those parents who's gone through it.

Weird. I have no idea what they were really going for, is it just in the kid's imagination or is it real? The tone and visual storytelling make it impossible to tell. This movie is like Cats & Dogs minus the "logic," that would be fine since a lot of stories have the same plot but it doesn't feel genuine so it's kind of distracting. The animation is very nice I just wish they'd used it on a better story.

It's hectic and nonsensical comedy, not really that bad, and it's entertaining for young kids. My young boys under the age of 6 both enjoy watching it together and it holds their attention. Not the type of animation an adult would ever/should ever watch by themselves though.

My daughter loves this movie, I on the other hand feel like it was a missed opportunity to create a sophisticated look into childhood with underlying adult themes. However it just feels immature. Alec Baldwin does what we can to create a cool boss baby character but it just does not work. Tobey Maguire as the narrator is probably the only good part of the movie.

Another well-designed animation film from DreamWorks, but for some reason I didn't end up laughing as much as I had expected. I have a feeling I would have liked it better had it's been real brother bonding going on and not this secret agent gimmick, for the plot seemed under developed and it was always best when it was about the sibling rivalry. Maybe they should have gone the über adorably route like everybody else instead of trying to make it cool-ish adorable.
