Based on a concept album, which means that the story mostly serves as a vehicle to get us from one song to the next. The songs are all over the place in terms of genre, but generally not great, but on the other hand, the music video bit have the best visuals. The plot is different, I'll give it that, but also doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

While I loved the animation and overall look, it didn't really feel like there was a story until about halfway through. I did really enjoy the music, eventhough I didn't allways like or even understand the lyrics.

Wow. A pretty-looking film but wow. It starts off disorienting and strange, and winds up depressing. It left a bad taste in my brain. NOT recommended for younger or more sensitive viewers.

Quite unexpected. Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is obviously inspired by Burton, but somehow gives a better Burton than Burton's done in years.

I enjoyed this, but would never recommend it - not unless someone told me "I really like surreal films that are simple, slightly threatening, and sad." If that ever happens, I have the perfect film for them.
