This foreshadows Wiseman's 'Titicut Follies' and 'Basic Training' as well as the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment (at least the footage of that infamous psychological experiment that I've seen). This is both documentary - a document of the final performance of 'The Brig' by The Living Theatre at their tiny second-foor auditorium in Greenwich Village - and fictional story - the Mekas brothers deciding where to point the camera and to cut the film to tell this tale. Harsh on the eyes and ears.
