Sometimes it's a bad thing to be too close to a subject. That's something Cass Warner, grand-daughter of one of the original Warner Brothers Harry Warner, seems to ignore. The documentary focuses on the infighting between Jack, the youngest and most brazen of the brothers, and the rest of the family. This keeps the scope relatively small, making the mammoth WB Studios seem as relevant as the local deli. The family aspect of the brothers can be interesting, but it doesn't hold for the entire doc.

A superlative documentary. Since Cass Warner, Harry's granddaughter, shaped the film, it is privy to more information and access to major players (it's kind of ridiculous) than other "Hollywood Insider" docs. It is also coming from a familial perspective, and this emphasis on the personal and human is what makes it particularly riveting.
