Shades of The Wind (1928), stripped down to a bare minimum. But the claustrophobic feeling of a troubled marriage is there. The emotional acting in still and intense. You can sense this was a role close to Thomas Meighan's heart, as he had done this one before, in 1917 with Billie Burke, but here he gets Mona Palma to play off of, and it's not a bad match. It is on the slow side, but it's quality acting, no doubt.
