Jackson does his best, but a weak script ends up dragging this one down.

I like the premise--a homeless, schizophrenic detective--and Jackson does his best, but the script is a mess.

Even Sam Jackson couldn't save this one.

A friend of mine watches movies which are so bad they're good. Sometimes we watch something so bad it hurts. This time, No no, I tell him. This one is just good. Not bad-good. Just GOOD. (An unknown beauty.)

strong performance and a stylish film

As if such a premise as far-out, intriguing and ambitious as this one would at any point get old, especially resting on the shoulders of such a highly watchable actor as Jackson, this tireless little buried treasure never stops throwing more engrossing and original developments at us. It's too endeavorous and creative not to have accumulated a following by now.
