A revealing story about how one engineer tried and failed to stop the Challenger disaster. It put a spotlight on the political and business pressures that prevented his advice from being acted upon. The story is hard to enjoy at times, as much time is spent on his apparent lack of an effective personality. It is heartbreaking to know the disaster would probably have been avoided if they had listened to his expert advice.
