Skip the first scene. Just warning you because no one want to see that in real life or a movie.

Generic garbage wrapped up with a bunch of cheap, vulgar humor. I did laugh a few times, but it's mostly stupid and it doesn't end soon enough. Don't waste any time with this, you'll regret it.

I was expecting the worst and at times, unfortunately, the change-up is the worst. Not much new about it either. And yet, if you can look past that - and especially if you can get past the opening scene which is just awful - it does pick up and provide some good laughs and even some solid drama scenes. Plus the obvious side bonuses (for me at least): Itzin and Wilde in supporting roles.

So it's a really bad movie but I laughed more than I had anticipated. And lol Craig Bierko looks... different.

A mindless, cookie cutter sunday afternoon romcom. Of course this movie is carried less by its premise and writing than its strong leads.

I don't think it's QUITE as bad as the critics made it out to be... which isn't the same thing as saying it's good, either. I mean, Jason Bateman is a funny guy. Always amusing to watch. But by and large the film substitutes haphazard crudeness for comedy, which occasionally works but lacks much wit. They also give Leslie Mann CGI breasts for a CGI nude scene, which is a terrifying new development.

This was a weird watch for me. The Change Up isn't great, and has a lot of issues. Bateman and Reynolds are fine, but are probably in their most forgettable performance. The film isn't really that funny, there isn't any other elements developed and nothing to really take from it. Everything is just average. However, it kept me entertained and that's something that a lot of movies don't do. For something I found so generic and formulaic, I'd thought I would just space out. Kinda weird

This one had the pieces and the casting, but it just didn't come together. Still delivers its share of laughs, but you won't remember much about it once it's over.

One of those movies that oozes cheese and hits every comedy stereotype possible. It is extremely predictable and is undeniably Hollywood mainstream, but there's a reason for this, that's because it works. While this movie is not extremely good in any way it's still entertaining and a decent waste of an hour and a half.

I'm definitely not a prude, but this movie has a lot of crassness for crassness's sake and it doesn't serve much purpose. It only makes the main characters seem unlikable, which they definitely are. The main sin for this movie is it falls into the trap of body-swap comedies in which, even after the characters make the switch, Ryan Reynolds still acts like Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman still acts like Jason Bateman.

Everything in this movie has been done before! What saves it just a bit is Reynolds and especially Bateman's charm and funny bones as the reincarnations of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis!

This movie was fine but it could have been great if they didn't start off being so heavily crass. Usually movies don't offend me easily but this movie started off straight away being quite gross and juvenile. I'm glad I kept watching though because the movie redeemed itself by the characters learning important lessons from each other and becoming better men because of it. Reynolds and Bateman were an interesting comic duo but I personally like the girls in this better, especially Olivia Wilde

This one really proves something about R rated comedies: first, they've got to at least tell a decent story. Then they can do all sorts of shits they always do.

The Change-Up needed to be better in order for it to be worth your time. That's as simple as I can make it. Better in what way? All of them, quite frankly. Tighter editing and a funnier script are the key ones, but apart from the lead actors, everything could have been improved upon greatly. Sometimes, a film can overcome these types of flaws and be enjoyable regardless. The Change-Up is not one of those movies.

Woeful, bottom of the barrel garbage; vulgar, unpleasant comedy takes no prisoners in its offensive depictions of women, children and racial politics; this would potentially be forgivable if the film showed a shred of wit in its sense of humour. Badly directed and atrociously acted; each and every character is obnoxious and unfunny. A rare film that is completely irredeemable on any level.

This movie was embarrassingly bad. The only redeeming quality was having Reynolds and Bateman play against type. They were really great at playing each other. Aside from that, this was a colossal turd of a film. The jokes were nasty, crude, and offensive. There was very little about this movie that was funny. The predictable ending follows Hollywood formula and further buries this movie into the abyss of useless comedies that will likely end up in the $5 bin at the nearest department store.

I'm conflicted on this one. On the one hand this movie should never get more than 10 due to lazy writing - two friends switching bodies and they both learn something - and lazy casting - Leslie Mann once again playing the wife of a guy who get's transformed (17 Again, 2009) COME ON! But then there's Reynolds and a sharp as always Bateman playing against usual casting. Their chemistry alone is what saves this movie from the train wreck it could and perhaps should have been.

Oh, how badly I wanted this movie to be funny. I was warned ahead of time that "The Change-Up" consisted mostly of poop jokes and swearing. I figured, it's probably not as bad as that description entails. I was quickly corrected and found it to be worse. It's about as clever and subtle as your 8 year old nephew. You've heard and seen this jokes done before much better than it has been here. The worst part is I actually like everyone involved, but they all misstep together in in this one.

This story has been done to death and the only thing this one adds is some gross moments and an impressively unlikeable main character. It should be noted that Bateman out charmed Reynolds by lengths in both characters. A small tribute to a slutty Olivia Wilde is in order.

Knew the whole plot from the get go, it's exactly what you expect when you talk about switching bodies. Bateman and Reynolds are the only good part, really.

The worst thing you can say about a raunchy comedy is that it's boring and predictable. When you've got too actors like Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds (and even Leslie Mann, on occasion), that shouldn't *ever* happen. The only points in the movie that made me laugh or smile were when Bateman was being crass and over the top. Other than that.......ugh.

To call The Change-Up misogynistic would be to shortchange the equal-opportunity disgust this anal-regressive film demonstrates toward men, babies, old people, and corporeal existence in general.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's a decent enough film, good laughs, but still overal mediocre. If you're gonna watch it then watch it after you've seen all the films I've rated higher. Idk maybe I should give it a 7 out 10, it's just really borderline so better if I won't. TL;DR: it's ok, but there's better stuff to watch

I've always hated Ryan Reynolds, so I was expecting less than nothing from this, yet somehow I still feel ripped off. This is a movie made by the freckled kid with the glandular problem who sat behind you in 3rd grade and made fart noises with his armpit all during arts and crafts. Only now, he has the technology to graphically render baby shit and septuagenarian hooters. Oh, and sorry guys, but look closely and it's fairly easy to see that those aren't Olivia Wilde's tit-illating ass-ets.
