The Chaser

A MGM quickie shot in two weeks, remaking the much better Lee Tracy film The Nuisance (1933), with Dennis O'Keefe taking the lead role. He works hard and is likable, but he lacks the conman slickness Lee Tracy had which made the original so good. Veteran Lewis Stone probable delivered the best performance of the film as the disgraced drunken doctor helping in the Ambulance chaser scheme. Sure, it's a easy film to get through, but they probable rushed this too much for it to become memorable.
