I can stand Ed Wynn's zany world in small dozes. At 65 minutes, it was a little much, but it's not like he made a ton of movies in the 1930s, and therefore I'll just appreciate such a developed comic character the few times I can. The Chief (1933) doesn't have the best of reputations, but it's all-out madness, nothing subtle in sight. Just go with it....
