I suppose if I were feeling more generous I could go on about how this nearly deaf man, his ability to turn his hearing aid on and off and the consequences of such actions is symbolic of a whole host of social phenomena. I would also talk about how the film makes us aware of the plethora of noise that surrounds our everyday lives. I'm not feeling particularly generous, though, and while I see all this I still found the film to be decently enjoyable but slight and a bit tedious.

Great-looking, amusing and beautiful short film that starts as a high-speed action movie before transforming into a reflection on the pros and cons of being (prosthetically) able to turn on or off all the noise that surrounds us, that is, an exploration of the benefits or otherwise of being able to regulate our exposure to the world on the basis of the whims of our unsociable sociability (as Kant put it).

Entertaining enough if you don't read too much into it.
