The Class of '92, a documentary detailing the rise to prominence and global sporting superstardom of six supremely talented young Manchester United footballers (David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville). The film covers the period 1992-1999, culminating in Manchester United's European Cup triumph, and dramatically interweaves and mirrors the highs and lows of its football odyssey with the immense social and cultural changes taking place in Britain at the time. Very biased reviewer here, but I loved this. At its strongest it draws the mythical connection from hard work, tragedy and hardship to unbridled joy. It colours its characters as layered people behind legendary figures. It can capture the unlikely and romantic story of young friends becoming world beaters. At its worst, it tries to make it into a political analysis piece- ugh. Must for a football fan, but genuinely good.

As a Man Utd fan i'm probably a bit biased but this was a great nostalgia trip down memory lane.I think I had goosebumps for the full 90 mins. I remember where I was watching all these moments took place growing up. It was great to see all of the players come together for interviews.I would have loved to have seen more of the group together just interacting but its such a minor criticism to what is a solid piece of documentary-film making.Great for all football fans but perfect for United fans.

It made a Liverpool fan cheer for United, which is not an easy feat. Lacks some depth, but interesting nevertheless.

Humanises people that you often just see as "footballers" who you can scream abuse or encouragement to, and gives you a real feeling for their friendship and what they went through. Then Tony Bastard Blair pokes his nose into it and you want to kick your telly in.

I'm clearly not in the intended audience for this since I don't really care about Manchester United or soccer. No real value judgement, it's just not one of the things I like. That said, this mildly entertained me, so surely it must be pretty damn good.

Okay so clearly you have to be a United fan who supported the club through the period to get the most out of this one, but as a member of that group I can happily admit to sitting through this doc with a big smile plastered across my face throughout. It's great to see the guys reminiscing and some of the stories are hilarious. My only gripe is that we don't hear a bit more about the '92 days, and from more of the team too (having Raphael Burke as one of the first speakers is a bit of a tease).

At least 50% of the running time is spent talking about hazing/pranking each other. I'm a die-hard Manchester United supporter, so I liked it, but was really disappointed. If you're not a fan you'll get absolutely zero out of this. You can finish the whole thing and not know who Busby or Ferguson are. So it's not for the uninitiated. Also, being a non-Brit, I quickly realized I needed closed-captioning to understand anything anyone was saying.

A fun trip down memory lane, though it does lack depth I would have liked.
