Well done modern slightly cringe cheese. It does entertain, and keeps the pace up, but there is a lot of groan moments.

It kind of runs out of steam too early -- script could have used a bit more development before the actual possession/exorcism takes place in the narrative -- but this is either way a fun horror ride fully of effective tricks involving social media, live streaming and 'vintage' supernatural manifestation. Mayhem ending looks a bit too sequel-oriented but works pretty nice -- Satan himself possessing millions of viewers through livestream, initiating doomsday with his army of demonic assassins.

The movie suffered a lot of loose ends. Foremost of which was the stranger/trader that appeared from nowhere and simply vanished to nowhere. Wrenching a drop of plausible reason out of it, I figured out that perhaps the director wanted to tell us that the disease came overseas through the traders. The Cleanser himself had the disease. He, too, was a trader. Overall, the movie flunked miserably. My SCORING: 99-96=Great; 95-90=Very good; 89-85=Good; 84-80=So-so; 79-70=Boring; Below 70=Forget it.
