The Clones

Plods along for half the runtime and I thought it was going to be a total dud. Towards the end things pick up with a few tense chase sequences featuring some gritty stuntwork. The DP tries a lot of creative tricks and angles, coming to the fore in a theme park set piece, but it comes off cheesy instead of neat.

Moderately well-done low-budgeter. First-rate performances and a terrific ending but overall too slow and static to really work; a bigger budget would have done wonders.

A strange sci-fi thriller that tries, without much luck, for laughs.
