Reminds me a little bit of Waterworld (1995), but the focus is more on fertility with some space travel.

A nice little German sci-fi gem that's got a little bit of space stuff, a little bit of post-apocalypse. It never really nails anything, but sci-fi nuts like myself are often content enough to find a decently produced, yet ultimately unfulfilling movie that we haven't heard of before.
