The river seen is pretty sweet. It's interesting what countries without the stupidity of PETA or CGI can accomplish. I generally liked the story until the God shit at the end.

A good story with some great acting. It's shot really well. The river scene at the end is pretty cool too.

Pretty nice for this sort of thing. I could have done without the slow-mo.

Mohsen Ramezani, who portrays the lead character of Mohammad, is phenomenal in this film.He inhabits his character with a graceful charm and strength of character that really showcase's who he is and not that he is blind. The use of vibrant color and heightened sound help's to show the contrasts of his relation to the world compared to those who can see.

There is great beauty in its touching relationships, pastoral settings, and narrative simplicity. Except for a few parts there are a bit mawkish, I was really in love with this movie. And then there's the last fifteen minutes, where Majidi smacks you over the head with the kind of grandiose dramatic moments that he had been so skillfully avoiding. It was more than satisfying enough as a religious fable without these large gestures. However, the rest of it is so grand that I still recommend it.

The visuals are as stunning as the heartfelt performances. Not sure the dad's redemptive framing towards the end is what I would've preferred, but I think there's enough restraint here to make it work.

What a profound and multi-dimensional cinematography (most prominently). This does things you've never seen before.
