This two-reeler is a real mess full of dances, falls, slaps, filming tricks and crazy editing. And it feels like everyone on screen is really having lots of honest fun. But that spaghetti joke was a bit too much.

Some quite funny moments (especially the ongoing dish-passing and food-flipping routines)...but on the whole, seemed pretty random. At least maybe we discover where Lucy may have gotten the scissors idea for her lunch with Bill Holden.

Random.

Not bad, but I don't find this very funny. A lot of jokes are either overlong or quick gags that were clearly just lucky attempts after a bunch of tries.

Fast and loose, in every sense, but kind of fun.

Definitely the goofiest and most utterly random of the Arbuckle-Keaton shorts. Check your reason at the door and just enjoy the antics. Fatty's dance apparently was a tribute to Salome (it just had to be spoofing something) and I would guess there's more in there that is just not gotten any more.

Fun teaming of Arbuckle and Keaton can never quite develop the momentum of the best silent comedy, but definitely has its moments -- Keaton as hapless busboy is excellent, and the falling domino effect through a line of characters pays off well.

Fatty recycling bits, but Buster's getting more screen-time and it's to everyone's benefit.

Promising at first, but apart from the restaurant scene(s) it's quite boring.

I'm not the biggest fan of Fatty but he was okay here at least for the first half but Buster Keaton was a lot of fun. I noticed that quite a few of the gags would later be used by the Three Stooges.

Should have been called the Dog, cause the dog steals the show.

I liked the "restaurant half," especially Keaton and Arbuckle's artistic dances. The half with the dog, not so much.
