Has a few interesting points, but it's laughably over-dramatic and far too biased.

As soon as Michael Moore turned up my heart sank. This is more or less on the same level as him, incoherent and jumbled with emotive anecdotes rather than being broadly informative. Just so you don't think I'm a partisan idiot, the film barely even touches upon corporate lobbying in the political process which I would have thought would have been important. It's just a left wing preaching-to-the-choir two minute hate piece about how corporations only want money. Tell me something I don't know.

I found it extremely interesting to see someone view a corporation in the same manner it is legally considered, that of an actual person. Clearly pointing out the obvious flaws in this system and showing things can be done by people to oppose it. Also the music was great as well, something I found to be quite unexpected in a documentary.

A very well-considered and argued film. It doesn't sensationalise or simplify the way some other docs do, at least that's the impression I got.

Michael Moore is in this. Therefore, it is automatically unenjoyable. It's also completely trite and sophomoric.

What was originally a three part doco was released here in Oz as a feature fillum. This film put the fear of god into me when it comes to corporate reality, especially the businessmen who decide to otherthrow the US Government because the don't like how it was handling the place... Astonishing

As long as the the current industrial revolution follows the motto "in devastation there is opportunity", we will need more of those kind of documentaries to make us aware of the facts driven out of our minds and of hidden or disregarded truths. This movie definitely accomplishes its very purpose.

As good as I hoped it to be. Very informative, but of course on a lower level than Adam Curtis documentaries. Lots of smart people gets interviewed from both sides. Of course the main idea is to tell why corporations are bad, so it can be called one-sided or biased. But you can't ignore the truth.

I agree with most of what this film tries to say, but it doesn't always make its case in the clearest or fairest way. The most shocking parts were those where CEO's and businessmen openly copped to their cynical attitudes, not to mention the part about a court ruling that declared that news agencies have no obligation not to lie. Cinematically the film isn't very exciting, and the half-whispering narrator ticked me off at times.

I think it's quite telling that the film's final word is essentially Michael Moore talking about how great and clever he is.

Quite frightning to see the effect of companies on the planet. I felt quite helpless at times which makes me feel a little depressed. Good documentary, it has a long running time but didn't feel long at all. I didn't like the narrator though, it sounded like she was recording her voice under a blanket, trying not to wake her sleeping partner.

All I can say is I'm glad I don't drink American milk. Well, I'll also say this: shaking your finger at corporations, or even going out with protest signs, isn't going to encourage massive reform. This doc makes it clear right away that corporations have been given too much freedom by the government, so it's THERE where the problem lies. It's like scorning a child for being bad when his parents told him he could do whatever he wants. It ain't his fault his parents suck. Ya know?

" Michael Moore:...There are companies that do good for the communities. They produce services and goods that are of value to all of us that make our lives better and that's a good thing. The problem comes in the profit motivation here because these people there's no such thing as enough... I'm convinced that a few people are going to leave this movie theatre or get up off the couch and go and do something anything and get this world back in our hands..."

It's fascinating, it's informative, it's mildly horrific, but sweet jesus it's long. By the end it seems to have doubled back on itself, like the snake eating its own tail, going forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and...

Definitely just an interesting look at corporations and some of the odd stuff that they benefit from. When I first saw it I was pretty biased against corporations and now I'm a little more even so I'm lessening the rating while acknowledging it's still a great film.

Interesting documentary bringing up some disturbing issues. But I can't help but wonder how biased or distorted the view of this film is. Sometimes I wish I had the knowledge of truth, but unfortunately the 'truth' is usually channeled to me through an array of filtering glasses. The problem is that you usually don't really know what kind of glass you're looking through. Either way, it's still an interesting documentary with a pretty powerful message.

Consciousness-raising, conscience-pricking documentary, reciting a laundry list, two and a half hours long, of the vices of big business past and present. A rotation of experts (CEOs, Harvard profs, Milton Friedman, Chomsky, Moore, many more) lectures directly to the camera and over a wide variety of archival clips.

It seems to touch upon everything wrong with the corporate system in its almost 2.5 hour run-time, with support of world-renowned experts and archival footage. The bit about Fox News being allowed to falsify their news was particularly chilling. Although it ends with an uplifting message of "get off your couch and change things!", it ultimately leaves you feeling powerless. It's especially relevant today, as we begin to witness corporations using their new boundless right to influence elections

Excellently researched and phrased. Although this is ultimately structured like any other documentary of its kind, it is well executed enough to come across as genuine and impartial, whether or not it actually is. It is also interesting to see Michael Moore talking on these issues outside of his own work: he is much more impartial and relaxed when being interviewed. Overall, top notch work.

While it's certainly cherry-picking the worst cases available to make its point, The Corporation is filled with infuriating, depressing and informative bits and pieces that kept me glued to the screen and made me die a little inside at the same time.

It seems, in these modern documentaries the right creates the fodder and the left points their fingers. The Corporation has valid, enraging points (the abuse of black rights legislation to form a corporate personality) but the reply of boycotting the problem is consistently futile, perhaps even a positive for the corporations it attacks as they could consider this film as merely free advertising. Interesting nonetheless.

Anti-corporate bias? Sure, but that's like saying I Spit on Your Grave has an anti-rapist bias. The subject is hostile, and really should be treated as such. Anyway, it's long, really long. It's also incredibly infuriating, but not really that exciting. New information? Not if you're a lefty, our piddly little websites and free weeklies have been giving us this shit for eons. But then, it hasn't really been put together in just one place before. An essential movie, really, warts and all.

Very well made, cool use of music, great editing and sometimes interesting but the problem is that it's just preaching to the converted and not giving you very much new information (unless you're completely oblivious). Needed more Howard Zinn and less Michael Moore desperately. A missed opportunity in my book, but still great from a purely cinematic standpoint.

Somewhat effective documentary marred by stale presentation and over-length. The agitprop felt redundant considering the intended viewer and I'd have much preferred more analysis of the corporation as a historical entity than the fact that they're evil. Uh, duh?

I don't mind the bias, at least it doesn't hide it and it puts in a good effort at elaborating its perspective. Some of the stylistic choices (the music cues, the narrator, the framing gimmicks, etc) do grate on me though. The seem unnecessary and make me feel like I'm being talked down to. Still, the heart of the film is the case studies and many interviews from a variety of perspectives, and that part is very well done.

Overlong polemic piece is nevertheless an important and comprehensive document which arguably may have played better as an extended TV series - there's a lot of repetitive, fairly obvious information about the sociopathic tendencies of corporations (even if the film is coy about dissecting the people involved, save a chilling sequence involving Fox News), while skimping over the societal corrosiveness practiced by "big business". Still informative and interesting.

This documentary mocks corporations. And basically proves that corporations don't care a bit about consumers. But we did know that already.
