This is one of those handful of movies that Dan Aykroyd made in the 80's and 90's between Ghostbusters 1 & My Girl that just didn't seem to find a big audience. I also consider these to be his personal best movies, the ones that define his solo talent. While Ghostbusters 1 and The Blues Brothers are far superior movies, these best show Aykroyd's personal strengths in comedy.

Aykroyd tries to play a smart aleck with charm, but he's no Bill Murray, and I don't believe for a second that any woman (let alone as many as there are in this film) would find him the least bit charismatic. This plays like a lame-duck comedy version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but it is far inferior in every single way.
