The Cowboy Way

The leads do a good job. Too bad the screenplay is really really bad.

there's something charming about woody harrelson as a cowboy, and the finale does have some a certain amount of exciting action, but the movie as a whole only lasts for a while, and is ultimately forgettable.

I had the unfortunate experience to see this in the theater. Keifer in the saddle for the first time since Young Guns II was a treat. Good actor.

Good

Notable only for the "hat on the pee-pee" scene in the beginning, and Sutherland, returning from his rodeo career, expertly handing his horse.

I'll say this ... I had less than no expectations for this film, which is probably why I kind of enjoyed it. It's not actually good. Harrelson really overplays his fairly dimwitted Crocodile-Dundee-meets-Coogan's-Bluff character, leaving Sutherland to carry whatever serious crime flick stuff it tries to execute. As a crime flick, it's okay in a you-have-seen-this-before kinda way.

Not a bad movie. I like the bit where they're like "Wow we are such fish out of water, us cowboys in the big city here."

Woody Harrelson is great in most anything he does. Fun flick
