A movie carefully reverse-engineered with the specific purpose of pissing me off. I'm not going to pretend that the original was some misunderstood masterpiece, but it was light years better than this offal. David, dude, have some self-respect.

Just because you can do CGI so easily these days doesn't mean it'll make your movies any better. So woke and empowered teens, boring plot, nothing really improved or added in comparison to the first movie, which I liked. Plus girls like to scream and squeal alot in this one which just makes them super annoying. Just no.

There's a lot of glitter and sparkles. There's a lot of talking about feelings. Evil (of course) cis straight old white men will be defeated when a group of young diverse self-identified grrls stand together against The Man instead of fighting amongst themselves. The Craft but for cosseted woke tweens, it's inferior to the original in every way. Probably the worst thing David Duchovny's been in. (Update: to this movie's credit, it's not quite as obnoxious as the 2019 Black Christmas remake.)

They made up a crap new villain just to make sure the girls would remain "perfect" and have no character development. Magic didn't have a cost like the original was all about. You'd think the script was written by an AI that just grabbed buzzwords and shoved them together, then someone remembered it had to have magic so CGI sparkles were added.

Lily's mother decides to move in with Adam, a writer who is making waves with lectures on masculinity. At her new school, Lily is introduced to three girls engaged in witchcraft, and they soon discover that Lily has magical powers that she was never aware of. The four girls decide to join their magical powers to change bully Timmy's behavior for the better, but this turns out to have unexpected consequences that face the young witches with an important decision.

One of the worst movies of the 2020’s so far. Turns the insightfulness of the first into girl boss farce this time around. Makes it into a Marvel movie where they all use their super powers to defeat Jordan Peterson. I think the first one is a tad overrated, but this a big stain on the legacy (heh) of the franchise.

Disappointed in this one. A totally unnecessary reboot of "The Craft".

I have never seen a movie this afraid of conflict or of making its characters look bad. This is also one of those movies with a "one of each" approach to diversity, which will be called out in the 2082 version of the "uh...maybe don't watch this Popeye cartoon" disclaimer.
