The Cremator

A great and unique visual style on display with editing that serves to unsettle. Darkly comic at points, but on the whole, I didn't perceive this as a "comedy", of which it is labelled. The imagery feels intentional, but I didn't feel like I fully grasped it. As such, it's hard to rate. I enjoyed it; it was effective. The protagonist's shift in character feels sudden and underdeveloped though. He's believable as one ripe for manipulation, but the presentation of his transition is lacking.

Best czech movie ever.

Shows several levels of disturbing material without overdoing any particular aspect. However, it feels empty since we are given no reason to care about any of the characters.
