I should never have criticized Edward J. Nugent for not looking like a boxer in Prison Shadows (1936) because here is Ray Walker as a boxer and boy did that look wrong! Him as a leading guy looks wrong. Period! And to imagine that the chief of police is begging this prizefighter to join the police force is just a too big a camel to swallow! On top of that, all attempt at charm in this film was a complete fail. Same goes for the movie....
