The Curse

Pure, unadulterated 80s awesomeness. Start with an obscure Lovecraftian yarn, add a religious nutbag with more pocks on his face than Edward James Olmos, a ball of frozen yarn from outerspace, 15 combined minutes of brotherly buttcrack, an exploding cabbage, a coop of frenzied chickens, and some gooey, pustule-induced madness. Stir in a healthy dollop of black humor and a pinch of self-awareness, pour over a bed of throbbing synth soundtrack, and finally top off with Will-fucking-Wheaton. Epic.

Had a blast watching this! Wil Wheaton gets slapped 6 times, the mother character calls him "Wil" in one scene instead of his character's name, a cow explodes, the soundtrack is wicked good and whatever happened to that stable boy? This is an above average 80's b-movie but it's also a pretty good Lovecraft adaptation.

The pus and maggot and bug and Fulci filled exploding cows and people wish they could compete with a hairy hillbilly butt.

worth a watch

A very different yet strangely similar adaption of the Lovecraft short story as the bizarre yet flawed Color Out of Space. In both movies the acting is terrible but in a lot of ways I found this to be the better version. The budget seems really low and the film seems weirdly rushed but the gore is great and the soundtrack is fun.

I thought this horror might have turned out "so bad it's good", but it was just "so bad it's bad".

Really nothing to praise about this movie. If you like poorly made, cheesy ‘80s camp horror, definitely check it out - with low expectations. Very low.

The HD was really high definition

It was super low budget looking gore and that ruled. I couldn't believe this movie actually existed and I'd like to find more like it! However the story line was lacking but then again, what can you expect?
