The Day Mars Invaded Earth

They took a different approach on this one, and I liked it. More of a slow and creepy build, then an effects movie.

Nicely understated version of the invasion--a real mood piece. Somebody on YouTube said that it reminded them of an Outer Limits episode, and indeed it is like that, only a bit more restrained, like some British production. The marital troubles of the husband and wife are well-handled too, and the end is as fun as it was unexpected. Of course, the Martians' purpose is purely a defensive one anyway, so no harm, no foul, right? :)
