The Desperate Hour

Watts was great: cardio on point, ran the entire time while emoting in a way that is typical for her. I think this would have been a stronger movie had her son actually been the shooter. Then it would have been an intense drama of a mom dealing with the fallout of a mass murdering son, a premise worthy of Watts where she would have absolutely excelled. Instead it's a "thriller" where she runs in the woods and talks on the phone, with some ridiculous plot points and sometimes holes.
