The Devil's Carnival

THE DEVIL'S CARNIVAL is terrible in a terrible way: free from distinction or substance, it adds up to exactly jack shit and raises but one question: what did they think the viewer would get out of this? The songs are sloppy and tuneless, there's no story or characters worth mentioning, Terrance Zdunich is a lame Satan, it's random in the worst way, it has all the atmosphere of a suburban Hot Topic, and it SETS UP FOR A FUCKING SEQUEL. Also, Scorsese really needs to throw Paul Sorvino a bone.

A huge disappointment. Absolutely no coherence, consistency, characters, plot, or themes. Watch Repo instead.

Pretty awful if you're not already a fan of the cult stage play / musical.

I was disappointed in this film. Most of the cast from REPO returns with the addition of some great voices like Jessica Lowndes, Emilie Autumn, Briana Evigan and Ivan Moody, which I thought would be good. The promo material was great, and I was looking forward to hearing In All My Dreams I Drown, but it never came. The plot is very confusing and the audio mix was terrible (vocals were quiet and music was loud). Every song was upbeat and carnival-ly, not a plus. Maybe Tech N9ne can save Ch2!

Would have been so much better if it wasn't shot like a damn music video. Comes off as amateurish. Which is weird considering how rich the scenery and costumes look.

The frog story was so cool!

As the opening act for a proposed series, it doesn't have much of a hook. The songs weren't terribly catchy, and the story had less mystery through-out and more "when the hell is this mess going to come together?" about it.
